This “whole house renovation” project was designed to take advantage of the beautiful views to the pond beyond the front porch of the house.  The existing house had a series of closed in rooms with limited views of the pond and little connection between spaces.  The main rooms on the first floor were opened up to one another and the front wall on both floors was lined with 9′ wide sets of French doors, opening the large porch to the house and bringing the view of the pond into all the primary spaces of the house.  The kitchen was moved to the front of the house and now links to the family room area off one end and to the front porch and dining room on the other end. All the bathrooms and laundry room were also renovated as part of the project to create an up to date, bright and modern feel to the entire home.
